Sample Itineraries for an Iconic Mt. Fuji Area Tour

Below are a few sample itineraries to give you an idea of how a private, iconic Mt. Fuji area tour can flow.
This isn’t a strict schedule — I always adjust the route, timing, and stops depending on the weather, season, traffic, and what my guests feel like doing that day.
One Important Note
These itineraries are just examples. Because this is a private tour, I’m always happy to:
- swap spots
- skip places
- spend more time where you love
- avoid crowds
- completely change the flow if Mt. Fuji suddenly appears (or disappears)
That flexibility is the whole point 🙂
Classic Kawaguchiko & Oshino Route

This is a great all-around route that mixes classic views, easy walking, and local atmosphere.
- Oishi Park (Lake Kawaguchiko)
A relaxed start with seasonal flowers and one of the most iconic Mt. Fuji lake views. - Roadside Station (Tabi no Eki Kawaguchiko)
A casual stop for local snacks, souvenirs, and a short break. - Mt. Fuji View Lawson
There are actually two Mt. Fuji Lawsons in the area, and I take you to the better one. - Lunch
I usually suggest a local restaurant based on your preferences — noodles, Japanese set meals, or something lighter. - Oshino Hakkai
A traditional village with crystal-clear spring water, thatched houses, and classic Mt. Fuji scenery. - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine
A peaceful finish surrounded by tall cedar trees — calm, spiritual, and a nice contrast to the busier spots.
Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko

Perfect for guests who want iconic photos and dramatic scenery.
- Chureito Pagoda
One of the most famous Mt. Fuji viewpoints. Timing matters here, so I usually plan this carefully. - Oishi Park (Lake Kawaguchiko)
A second angle of Mt. Fuji with open lake views and seasonal colors. - Lunch
A relaxed break before heading into quieter, more traditional areas. - Iyashi no Sato Nenba
A restored traditional village with old farmhouses and beautiful views — very atmospheric. - Ice Cave (Narusawa Ice Cave)
A short underground walk through natural lava caves formed by past eruptions.
Calm & Nature-Focused Route | Lake Yamanaka

Ideal for guests who prefer fewer crowds and a slower, more relaxed pace.
- Oshino Hakkai (early morning visit)
Although it’s one of the most popular spots in the area, visiting early allows us to enjoy the village before the crowds arrive. It’s a calm, refreshing start with traditional scenery and crystal-clear spring water. - Lake Yamanaka
Open space, wide lake views, and a different perspective of Mt. Fuji compared to Kawaguchiko. It often feels quieter and more spacious. - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine
A peaceful shrine surrounded by nature — a gentle, reflective way to end the day. - Optional drop-off: Mt. Fuji view day-use onsen
To end the tour, I can drop you off at a day-use hot spring with views of Mt. Fuji — a perfect way to relax and enjoy the scenery at your own pace.
