Hi, it’s Daichi from KOKO Journey. Today, I want to introduce you to one of the popular tours, Mt. Fuji Sake, Wine & Craft Beer Tasting Tour! This tour is the great way to enjoy tasting incredible local drinks.
The key feature?
The Sake and the Craft Beer in this tour are crafted using the pure spring water of Mt. Fuji! Come discover the flavor.
We’re going to visit these places.
Ide brewery

Ide Sake Brewery is the only sake brewery located in the Fuji Five Lakes area.
Established in the mid-1800s, this brewery has a history spanning over 21 generations. The brewery is famous for its signature brand, “Kai no Kaiun” (The Opening of Luck in Kai).
What makes their sake truly special is the water. They use natural spring water from Mt. Fuji that flows beneath the brewery. Because the water travels through layers of volcanic lava rock for decades, it is incredibly pure and soft.

Fujiyama Beer

For the beer lovers, we head to Fujiyoshida City to visit Fujiyama Beer.
Located inside the roadside station “Michi-no-Eki Fujiyoshida,” this brewery takes advantage of the region’s incredible natural resources.
They brew their beer using natural groundwater drawn from 100 meters below the foot of Mt. Fuji. By combining this ultra-pure water with authentic brewing technology, they create a refreshing and deep flavor. You can typically try three distinct styles here:
- Pils: A crisp lager with a refreshing hop aroma.
- Weizen: A fruity, white beer that is very popular for its smooth finish.
- Dunkel: A dark beer with a rich, roasted flavor.
