Today, I would like to introduce one of the most iconic views in Fujiyoshida city: Honcho Street.

Fujiyoshida City is located at the foot of Mt.Fuji, right next to Kawaguchiko Town (Lake Kawaguchi), one of the most popular areas for viewing Mt. Fuji.

If you’ve ever seen a photo where Mount Fuji looks like it’s looming right at the end of a classic retro street, this is the place!

Where is Honcho-Street located?

Honcho Street (本町通り in Japanese) runs through the Shimoyoshida area of Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi Prefecture. The famous Mt. Fuji photo spot is located along this central stretch of road in Shimoyoshida.

Since it’s a street name, there isn’t one official address for “Honcho Street.”
Please check the map below, or simply search “Honcho Street Fujiyoshida” or “本町通り富士吉田” on Google maps.

It’s about a 5-minute walk from Shimoyoshida Station on the Fujikyu Railway Line, making it very convenient to access.
