From Snowmelt to Glass! Fujiyama Beer is the Taste of Mt. Fuji

Hi, it’s Daichi from KOKO Journey!
Today, I’m taking you to Fujiyama Beer. This isn’t just your average craft brewery; it’s basically the mountain’s spirit in a glass.
Quick heads-up for those who might not know: “Fujiyama” is actually just another way to say “Mt. Fuji” or “Fujisan”.

It All Starts 100 Meters Underground

You’ve probably heard that the secret to great beer is the water. Well, Fujiyama Beer doesn’t mess around.
They pump their water from a well 100 meters deep, tapping into snowmelt that’s been naturally filtered through volcanic rock for decades.
Even German brewing masters have given this water a massive thumbs up. When you mix that pure Fuji mineral water with premium European malt and traditional German techniques, you get something seriously special.
It’s clean, it’s crisp, and it tastes exactly like a mountain breeze feels.

Which Taste of Fujiyama Beer for You?

They keep it simple with three signature brews. Here’s the 3 beers:
- Pils (The All-Rounder): This is their #1 bestseller. It’s a classic European-style lager with a nice little hop kick at the end.
- Weizen (The Crowd Pleaser): This one’s popular with anyone who likes a bit of fruitiness.
- Dunkel (The Soul Warmer): For the fans of dark beer. It’s got that roasted, malty depth but stays surprisingly easy to drink.

Where is it located?
Location: 3-7-1 Arasumi, Fujiyoshida-shi, Yamanashi
You’ll find it right by the roadside station, ‘Michi-no-Eki Fujiyoshida’.
